The world closed down and closed in.
Quiet Time is a series of intimate, mixed media works on mylar in reaction to the narrowed experience of life during the pandemic. Walks to the studio, parks, and my own garden, supplied the subject matter as I observed nature quietly and slowly.
Meditative and gestural mark making, floating landscapes, and a limited palette became the language of expression for this moment when the world went quiet.
