These large, mixed-media drawings on mylar express a love of nature and the joy of pure drawing. The series tells a visual story divided into seasonal chapters. Personal objects and natural specimens narrate an intimate relationship with nature and life’s cycles – birth, death, dormancy and rebirth.
The mark-making was often careful and meditative. In contrast, physical and emotional energy is also captured through looser marks and more aggressive cross-hatching. Objects are allowed to float in space, setting a mood – quiet, still and haunting.
All drawings are 24 x 36 inches, unframed, and are available for purchase through the artist except those already sold or in a private collection.
